There's been a lovely number of stories submitted lately, so apologies if you are waiting for yours to appear. Here are ten more and there are others in the pipeline. Today we have added eight more women who were born in 1819, the same year as Queen Victoria and two stand-alone stories of women from Great Ellingham. The Great Ellingham biographies are those of Hannah Carter (check under Illegitimacy) and Charlotte Fisher, you can find her on the page for women whose lives have been touched by murder.

The stories of women born in 1819 can be found here. We welcome Mary Beckett, Ann Marie Brightmer, Hyaena Clapham, Hannah Collins, Mary Ellums, Mary Ann Hall, Jane Shone and Mary Walton to our website. Some of these women were born in Wem or Wells-next-the-sea, others have been contributed by our lovely volunteers from their own research. There are some substantial stories amongst these, other women have proved more illusive.
