Once Hidden, Now Heard - we launch a book

For the past year or so, the A Few Forgotten Women team have been working on a book. This is a multi-authored compilation combining aspects of women's history with case studies. We are very excited to let you know about our launch offer which is available for the month of October 2026 only.

History is filled with women. They were present at every stage of life, shaping families, communities and the world around them. They worked cared, created, struggled, survived and adapted. With care, resilience and determination, they contributed to society in countless ways, often while facing challenges and hardship. Their influence was everywhere, yet so many individual stories were rarely preserved. United by a passion for preserving the past, the creators of the A Few Forgotten Women project set out to see that women’s stories were told. Through research, collaboration and curiosity, this book explores different aspects of women’s lives and the records that can help us rediscover them. It celebrates the ordinary women who were anything but ordinary and hopes to inspire others to seek out, preserve and share the stories waiting to be found, bringing women out of the shadows and placing them where they belong, at the heart of the historical narrative.
